The vast number of available choices can make your life difficult when it comes time to pick a cell phone plan. The truth is, many people fail to go about choosing a cell phone plan the right way, and this results in many people complaining about their provider or their plan. One of the biggest areas where people make a mistake is by choosing a phone they want instead of a good plan for them. For instance, the iPhone is only available through two providers – Verizon and AT&T – and each has certain plans in place for the phone. While you may want an iPhone, you might prefer to stick with a different provider, or you might not want the plans that come with the iPhone. Pick a plan first, and then pick a phone; in this way, you can pick a plan you can be happy with, instead of picking a phone you like and a plan you hate.
The number of minutes a plan provides you with is, of course, one of the big issues with phones. If you have too many minutes, you will be paying more money than you need to each month. But of course, if you have too few minutes and end up going over, you will be stuck with steep overage charges.
